Mrs. Betty Jean Hobby, age 82, of Lucedale passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in her home with her loving family by her side. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Hobby was born to the late Mr. Russell Quinton and Mrs. Annie Hazel Hiser Hull. She worked for many years as the owner of TAB Map Company in Lucedale. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jexie R. Hobby; son, “Little” Michael Hobby; parents, Quinton and Hazel Hull; brothers, Billy Hull and James Hull.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Diana J. (BJ) Knight; sons, Dewaine Hobby and Michael R. (Luwana) Hobby; grandsons, Ben (Jennifer) Proctor, Philip (Laine) Proctor, Adam Hobby and Clayton Hobby; brothers, Charles (Barbara) Hull and Donald (Barbara) Hull; great grandchildren, Forrest (Katelyn) Proctor, Noah Proctor, Malachi Proctor, Levi Proctor, Loryn Proctor, Bijou Proctor, Azzie Proctor; great-great grandchildren, Harliegh Jo Proctor and soon-to-arrive, Hudson Proctor; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Mrs. Betty J. Hobby will be on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home chapel on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 with Bro. David Buchholz and Bro. Bill Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Pallbearers include her grandchildren and Honorary pallbearers will be members of her Sunday School class.
