David Busby

Mr. David Busby, age 71, of Leakesville, Mississippi passed away on June 3, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was a 1965 graduate of Leakesville High School. He worked most of his life as a Welder in the construction industry. He enjoyed tinkering with cars, Mustangs in particular. In any free time, he could be found in his garden enjoying the great outdoors. He was a hard-working husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.      

He is preceded in death by his parents, “T-Bo” and Joyce Busby; siblings, Arlin, Max, Jimmy, Rudolph, Catherine and Irene Busby.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cindy Busby; children, Marcus Busby and Davy (Lavada) Busby; step-children, Fred, Paul, Ray, and Christina; grandchildren, Blake, Jordan, and Andrew Busby, Ray, Kyler, Cheyne, Jillian, Ryleigh, Fisher, Finley, Jade, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Maverick Busby; sisters, Leavy (Lavelle) Mathis and Dianne (L.D.) West; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Visitation for Mr. Busby will be Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018 beginning at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Tracey officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis Cemetery in Greene County. Pallbearers include Stan Busby, Keith West, Blake Busby, Andrew Busby, Kevin West and Tommy Locke. Honorary Pallbearers are Shannon Busby and Ray Meline.
