Glenda Cassin Obituary

Glenda Darnell Miller Cassin passed away March 21, 2019 at the age of 65. She was born in Union, Mississippi to the late Mr. Willie Boone and Fannie Broome Miller. She greatly enjoyed spending time at family reunions and was the life of every event. She loved people, never met a stranger and will be dearly missed.     

She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Cassin; son, Lanny “Buddy” Beckham; parents, Willie Boone and Fannie Hazel Broome Miller; brother, James “Jim” Miller.    

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Tina Tankersley of Meridian, Mississippi and Tonya (Jim) Tittle of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Carolyn (Aubrey) Pogue, Brandon Tankersley, Cameron Tankersley; great-grandchild, Lily Pogue; siblings, Hazel Mondell Wallace of Edwards, Mississippi, Shelby Jean McCurley of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Mary Louise Rowell of Union, Mississippi, Willie Mae Cubbage of Lucedale, Mississippi and Billy “Red” Wayne (Mary) Miller of Leakesville, Mississippi; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

The Visitation for Ms. Glenda Miller Cassin will be at Moments Funeral Home, Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Greg Hicks, Rev. Mike Dillion and Bro. Charles Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Crossroads Free Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers include Keith Miller, Billy Wayne Miller, Jr., Keith Miller, Jr., and Danny Cubbage.   

Moments Funeral Home, locally owned and operated in Lucedale, Mississippi, is in charge of arrangements.
