Jim Miller

Mr. James “Jim” Miller, age 68, of Lucedale passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was raised in the Pentecostal Faith. He was a hard worker his entire life. His many job titles included Captain of a supply ship, Manager at Estabrook Ford and Salesman at Walt Massey Automotive. He enjoyed singing and playing music. He was a member of Rhymes Missionary Baptist Church. He was an avid sports fan and followed NASCAR, football, boxing and many other sports. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.     

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Boone and Fannie Hazel Broome Miller.   

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 30 years, Verchie Miller; children James K. Miller Jr., Sonia (Jody) Eubanks, Richard Bexley, Michael D. Miller, Tammy (Louis) Havard, Keith (Angela) Miller, Shannon (Mitchell) Henderson; siblings, Mondell Wallace, Jean McCurley, Mary Rowell, Willie Mae Cubbage, Billy “Red” W (Mary) Miller and Glenda Cassin; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

The Visitation for Mr. Jim Miller will be Thursday, April 5, 2018, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 6, 2018 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Rhymes Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Joshua Bexley, Aaron Shepheard, Keith Miller, Cody Miller, Bradley Miller and Byron Henderson. Honorary pallbearers are Jamie Havard and Chad Turner.
