Joan (Landon) McLeod

Joan Landon McLeod, age 78, passed away February 22, 2019. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and eventually settled in George County and married John E. McLeod. She was a member of New Antioch Full Gospel. Her greatest enjoyment was her grandchildren. She has left a loving legacy that will miss her greatly.           

She is preceded in death by her husband, John E. McLeod, Sr.; numerous siblings.   

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Victoria and Donald Schafer, John E., Jr. and Charlene McLeod, Michael and Terrie McLeod and Jill and Lee Shepherd; 12 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; three sisters, numerous other relatives and friends.    

The Visitation will be Monday, February 25, 2019 from 11: AM until 1:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 25, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Heath Havard officiating. Mrs. McLeod will be laid to rest next to her husband in Rocky Creek Cemetery. Those honored to be Pallbearers include Lance Davis, Jothan Shepherd, Nathan Shepherd, Tim Davis, Eric McLeod, Derrick Davis and Brad Dyer. Honorary Pallbearers are Derrick Williams and Mason Williams.
