Kim Tucker

Ms. Kimberly Tucker, age 52, of Lucedale passed away on June 16, 2018. She was a 1982 graduate of George County High School. She went on to get a BS Degree and a Master’s Degree from Southern Miss University in Business Education. She retired from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College after teaching for almost 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a very active member of Shady Grove Baptist where she served as Secretary and Vacation Bible School Director for many years. She found great joy in helping others and touched many lives. She was a very “tech-savy” and influential individual and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.         

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Shorty and Mellonee Havard; paternal grandparents, Julian and Winnie Tucker; uncle Realus Tucker.

Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Derrel and Deliska Tucker; sister, Shawna Rogers; nieces, Deralynn (Gary) Ellis and Bri (Justin) Mixon; nephew Ben Rogers; aunts, Marcy Havard, Wanda Khan and Karen Tucker; uncle, Tony (Melody) Tucker; great nieces, Reese and Maci Moorman; great nephew, Julian Mixon; numerous other relatives and friends.    

The Visitation for Ms. Kim Tucker will be on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Shady Grove Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Ronnie Maxie, Bro. Bruce McKenzie and Bro. Jason Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Justin Mixon, Ben Rogers, Gary Ellis, Josh Mixon, Chip Khan and Monnie Khan. Honorary pallbearers include Dutch Smeal and Hub Fisher.
