Lillian Irene (Roberts) Sumrall

Irene Sumrall, age 80, of Lucedale passed away September 23, 2018. She was born Lillian Irene Roberts on June 2, 1938 to the late Mr. Howard Lee and Mrs. Sybil Roberts. She worked for many years as a correctional officer for SMCI in Leakesville and retired to spend time with her family. She was a member of Lucedale Full Gospel Church. She was an excellent cook and Caregiver to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.        

She is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Conner Sumrall; daughter, Verna Jene (Richard) McKenzie; step-daughter, Debra (Gary) Rogers; step-son, Mikel (Joyce) Sumrall; step-grandson, Jeffrey McKenzie; parents, Howard Lee and Sybil Roberts; brother, Herman Roberts and sisters Janette Roberts, Kathaline White and Carolyn Hall.

Those left to cherish her memory include step-daughter, Glenda (Ronald) Clay; brother, Bud (Karla) Roberts; sisters, Annette Havard and Marilyn (Ralph) Havard; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other family and friends.   

The Visitation for Irene Sumrall will be Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Lucedale Full Gospel. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Tim Peace officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.  Pallbearers include Chris Roberts, Marty Havard, Micah Cox, Drake Walley, Broc Walley, and Chandler Hall.  Honorary pallbearers are William Davis and Glen Guy.
