Mae Lou Nell (Pipkins) McLeod

Mae Lou Nell Pipkins McLeod passed away on March 10, 2019 at the age of 83. Lou Nell was known for making the best pies and quilts in the world! She would make them and take them to whomever was in need. She was greatly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Drayton McLeod; parents, Lee Coyt and Nellie Pipkins; sisters, Emma Katherine Pipkins and Faye Pipkins; brother, Dan E. Pipkins; and nephew, Billy Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brothers, Coyt Pipkins of Lucedale, Mississippi and Donald Pipkins of Lucedale, Mississippi; sisters, Norma Bassett of Lucedale, Mississippi and Jeannie Smith of Richton, Mississippi; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.     

The Visitation for Ms. Mae McLeod will be Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Moments Funeral Home.  Rev. Kenny Springle will be officiating. Pall bearers will be Darrel Pipkins, Doug Pipkins, David Pipkins, Matt Meek, Quinin Turner, and Darrel Woods. Burial will follow in Dan McLeod Cemetery.
