Nelda "Nell" Shoemaker Baria

Nelda “Nell” Shoemaker Baria, age 72, passed away November 21, 2019. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed cooking and serving the community. She worked for many years at East Central School, where she fed the teachers and students. She also managed the café at Seward Farms Corn Maze. There is not much that she hasn’t done. Her home was always open to family and friends. She will be greatly missed.                        

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Lanell Middleton; great grandchild, Rainey Dunn; parents, William H., Sr. and Doris M. Shoemaker; siblings, David Shoemaker, Billy Ray Shoemaker and Almarie Shoemaker. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jody Baria; children, Crystal Gordon, Lori (Sid) Davis, Stacy (Tressie) Middleton, Michelle Middleton, Blake (Breanna) Baria, Michael (Crystal) Baria and Shane (Tonya) Baria; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; siblings, Junior Shoemaker, Annette Weaver, Delorise (Randy) McDuffie and Robert Earl Shoemaker; special family member like a daughter, Melita Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.     

The Visitation for Nelda Baria will be Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Moments Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be Monday, November 25, 2019 beginning at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Casey Davis and Bro. Jerry Goff officiating. Burial will follow at Coleman Cemetery.  Pallbearers include Tommy Shoemaker, John Paul Eubanks, Stan Smith, Andrew Seward, Corey Rayburn, Jaime Davis, Ryne Long and Scotty Smith.
