Sandra Gibson

Mrs. Sandra Bugg Gibson, age 70, of Lucedale passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was a 1965 graduate of Lake High School in Lake, Mississippi. She married Abner Gibson the same year and eventually settled in George County. They raised three beautiful daughters together. Mrs. Gibson worked as a teller at the Bank of Lucedale for many years. She was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church and found great joy working with the Jolly Elders. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed.       

She is preceded in death by her parents, Horace Victor and Lillie Inez Henry Bugg; brother, Willie Franklin Bugg and sister, Mildred Louise Herrington.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of over 50 years, Abner Gibson; daughters, Shelia Dueitt, Kelly (Doug) Hubbard and Vicki (Brian) Smith; grandchildren, Bradley Miller, Brianna Smith, Abigail Hubbard, Lilykate Hubbard and Canyon Smith; siblings, Annette Hill, Bettie Sones and Victor Bugg; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

The Visitation for Mrs. Gibson will be Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in the funeral home chapel beginning at 10:00 AM with Bro. Victor Bugg, Bro. John Henry and Bro. BJ Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Creek Cemetery.
