Charles Martin Obituary

Charles Jackson Martin, age 61, passed away December 28, 2022. "Jack" was a loved father, husband, grandpa, uncle, brother and friend. He was an excellent and skilled welder for Halter Marine. He loved working with his hands, being outside, a good joke, a cold beer, a ride down the beach, and playing his guitar.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Abraham Martin, Sr. and Hattie Catherine Crane Martin; siblings, Roy Martin, Jr., William T. “Sammy” Martin, Sr., Ernest Martin, Ricky Martin, Lisa Martin Trusler and infant sister, Elsie Anita Martin; sister-in-law, Velma Martin; brother-in-law, Leonard "Peanut" Trusler.     

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Donna Lynn Larson Martin; children, Sonya C. Martin (Margarito) Olvera and Tonya Martin Olvera; grandchildren, Dacie West, Abigail Martin Olvera, Geymi Olvera, Emily Olvera, Nicole Martin Woods Buyea, Jose Jr. Olvera, Alex Olvera, Alley Olvera, Edward Olvera, Kingston Amukonyi, and Phyllis Amukonyi; great grandson, Ryan Alverez; siblings, Elizabeth (Roy) Vice, Delores (Eddie) Conkin and Janet (Fred) Habeck; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.      

The Celebration of Life service will be Sunday, January 15, 2023 beginning at 2:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home.
