D.L. Davis

Monday January 17th, 2022, David Levi “D.L.” Davis passed away from his earthly home and body into eternity with his renewed strength and heavenly body healed from all that it has endured over the past 25 years. He has been made new again as Christ Our Savior has promised for those whose salvation rests in the Lord Almighty.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Eva (Miller) Davis; siblings, Mary Jane, Swanson and Donald and his beloved first born son, Steve Davis.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lou Davis; son, Rodney E. Davis and daughter-in-law Michelle Davis; daughter, Donna Brewer and son-in-law Jeff Brewer; grandchildren, Joshua Davis and wife Meagan, Jared Davis and wife Laine, Adriana Davis (Colin Fontenot) , Hannah Brewer and Gavin Brewer; great grandchildren, Easton, Halle, Aubreigh and Reese; sister, Virginia McCowan and brother-in-law Hartsel McCowan; sister-in-law, Nell Davis; several nieces, nephews, many cousins and numerous special friends.

The Visitation for D.L. Davis will be Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Moments Funeral Home from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Knight delivering the message. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery, where D.L. will be laid to rest next to his son. Pallbearers include Jeff Brewer, Joshua Davis, Jared Davis, Gavin Brewer, Matthew McCowan and Robert Miller. Honorary Pallbearers will be Greg Fairley and Malcolm Rouse.
