Dewey Wilson, age 86, passed away September 15, 2020. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard and worked for International Paper at the Moss Point Mill over 38 years. After retirement, he moved to Tennessee and worked at DollyWood for 12 years. He was a member of New Hope Assembly of God in Wade and a Mason from the Moss Point Lodge #212. He was a loving husband, father and Papa who will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Sudie Wiggins Wilson; siblings, Thelma Redmond, Helen Eckbold, Walter Wilson, Alvin Wilson, Joyce Anderson and Darryl Wilson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 62 years, Melvina Singley Wilson; children, Kenneth (Kathy) Wilson, Kevin (Rebecca) Wilson and Kim (Bobby) Davis; grandchildren, Tori (Omar) Martinez-Ortiz and Benjamin Wilson; great-grandchild, Harrison Martinez-Ortiz; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Graveside Service for Dewey Wilson will be Friday, September 18, 2020 beginning at 10:00 AM in Magnolia Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Lewis and Bro. Robb Reiser officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
