Don "The Mailman" Brewer, 63, died January 25, 2020 after a year-long battle with cancer. He was a long-time resident of Lucedale, Mississippi. He was born in Denver, Colorado on November 5, 1956. He spent the majority of his childhood in Biloxi, Mississippi due to his father being in the Army. Don was the City Mail Man of Lucedale for over 35 years. He retired in 2018. He also served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was a member of the Baptist faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on antique cars and spending time with his grandsons. He was often busy with “around the house” projects his two daughters and wife constantly talked him into, and took time to teach his son how to repair cars and home renovations.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lorene Touchstone Brewer and his father, Huey Brewer of Biloxi; mother-in-law, Mary Eubanks and father-in-law, Randolph Eubanks of Lucedale and many loving aunts and uncles.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 34 loving years, Cindy Eubanks Brewer; children, Katie (Michael) Guilday, Amy (Brandon) Franovich and Casey (Jessica) Brewer; grandsons, Landon and Grayson Franovich; beloved sister, Patty Brewer and brother Mitchell Brewer; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life service for Don Brewer will follow beginning at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Barry Jemison and Bro. Josh Havard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Brazil Mission Trip Fund at Journey Community Church.
