Genevive (McLain) Guy

Genevive McLain Guy, age 73, went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2022. She was a faithful member of Avera Church of God and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. She drove a bus for Friends of Children for over 35 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend.    

She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Raybon Guy; parents, Virgie and Wiley McLain; sister, Janette Brewer; brother, Lavon McLain.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Charles Curtis (Melissa) Guy, Darlene (Dirkin) Helton, Myrtis Marie (John) Everett and Heather (Robert) Turner; brothers, Wiley “Buck” (Wanda) McLain and Robert Dale (Linda) McLain; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.        

The Visitation will be Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home Leakesville. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023 beginning at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Don Fulmer officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers include Charles “CJ” Guy, Sam Guy, Larry Fortenberry, Jr., Morris Ray Everett, Jasper Everett and Derick Turner. Honorary Pallbearers include Travis Everett and John Everett.
