Glenn Edward “Eddie” Tillman, Sr. changed addresses on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the age of 63 with his family by his side. He was born on Wednesday, July 6, 1960. In his younger years he was an active 4-H member and also, served in the United States Army National Guard. He retired from Blessy Marine after many years as a Tug Boat Captain. Eddie loved the water so much that he was known as a River Rat. He had a big heart and loved his family with all his might. He would help anybody in need. In his spare time he loved chicken fights, trail rides, and helping with benefits. Eddie will truly be missed by all that knew him.    

He is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Hovatter Tillman Helton Turner; father, Jessie Sylvester “Jake” Helton; father, Julius Edward Tillman; brothers, Rueben Edward “Buster” Tillman and Denny Edward Tillman; sister, Ruby Tillman; nephews, Ronald Anthony Crabtree, II  and Chandler Tillman.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 43 years, Jean Tillman; children, Glenn Edward (Francis) Tillman, Heidi (Mitchell) Shepherd and Brandy Barbour; add-on son, Joe Dearman; brothers, Nolan (Bridgett) Tillman, Van (Mechell) Helton and William Edward “Billy” (Brenda) Tillman; sisters, Linda Sue Furby, Delois Howell, Latishea (Toney) Crabtree and Lagradis Turner; 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, one on the way in April; special granddaughter-in-law, Makayla; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The Visitation will be Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Burbank First Pentecostal Church. The Funeral Service will be Friday, February 2, 2024 beginning at 10:30 AM with Bro. Shawn Bice, Bro. James Bice, Bro. Calvin Parmer and Bro. David Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include Dillon Breland, Jessie “Jake” Helton, Mark Dixon, Tracy Hovatter, Hunter Edward Beech, and Joe Dearman. Honorary Pallbearers include his grandsons.
