Janie Nance passed away March 7, 2020 at the age of 73. She was a member of St. Lucy’s Catholic Church. She greatly enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. She also found enjoyment in the great outdoors, gardening and was a very talented painter and artist. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents Isaac Stevens and Alice Leona Ross Brownlow; siblings, Samuel Brownlow and Wentzel Deanie Dickerson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 59 years, Gary G. Nance; sons, Mike (Therese Griffon) Nance, Chris (Tammy) Nance and David (Angie) Nance; grandchildren, Whitney Nance, David Nance and Noah Nance; grandchildren and great-grandchildren Sarah, Luke, Katherine, Griff, Hollis, Lee, Julie, Jessie, Jack, Terry, Dominic, Gabe and Luna; siblings, Ione Fulmer, Isaac Steven Brownlow, Jr. and James Denman Brownlow; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will also be missed by her loyal pets, Harlie, Sammy and Scooba Steve.
The Memorial Mass for Janie Nance will be held April 18, 2020 beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Lucy Catholic Church with a gathering afterwards.
