Jason Lynn McDerment

Jason Lynn McDerment, age 41, passed away July 18, 2020. He was a 1997 graduate of UMS-Wright Preparatory School and continued his education at Auburn University where he received a business degree in marketing. He worked most of his adult life as a Real Estate Broker. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, a devoted father and a loving son.    

He is preceded in death by his father, Pat Lynn McDerment; paternal grandparents, Walter “Boots” and Lavelle Barnett McDerment and maternal grandparents, Connie and Murlene Anglin Cochran.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Wyatt Luke and Walter “Walt” Massey McDerment; mother, Brenda Cochran McDerment; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

The Memorial Service for Jason McDerment will be Thursday, July 23, 2020 begin at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce McKenzie officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
