Larry Wayne Kennedy, Sr.

Larry Wayne Kennedy, Sr., age 70, passed away August 4, 2022. He loved vacations, fishing, bowling, golfing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Masonic Masons. He was a member of Movella Missionary Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and dear friend who will be dearly missed.  

He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Kennedy; mother, Ruby Cherry; father, Marion (Bet) Kennedy; brother, Mike Kennedy; paternal grandparents, George Kennedy and Evelynn Kennedy. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Larry Wayne Kennedy, Jr. and Christopher Michael (Marcie) Kennedy; grandchildren, Tiffiany Kennedy, Maegen Dixon, Ella Kennedy, Eli Kennedy and Kendall Dixon; great grandchildren; Zakk Estep, Gary Kennedy, James Kennedy, Troy Kennedy, Landon Dixon, Ava Dixon and Ansleigh Dixon; brothers, Jerry (Carol) Sorrell, Steve Kennedy and Allen (Jane) Jenkins; sister, Michelle Kennedy; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

The Visitation for Larry Wayne Kennedy, Sr. will be Monday, August 8, 2022 beginning at 3:00 PM at Movella Missionary Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 4:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. David Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Movella Missionary Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers include Eli Kennedy, Kendall Dixon, Gavin Hathorn, Chandler McCardle, Robert Lofton and Landon Cooley. Honorary pallbearers include Ronnie Tompkins and Shannon Tompkins.
