Marvin Stanford Strickland, 60, of Leakesville, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at George Regional Hospital. He was retired from the Mississippi Forestry Commission, with whom he worked for over 40 years. Mr. Strickland enjoyed fishing and in recent years eating at the fish camp. He was an exceptional artist and loved to draw. More than anything he loved his wife and family and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shadrick and Elise Strickland and Leonard and Laura Gene Turner; and one sister.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 35 years, Josephine Strickland; step-children, Amanda Havard (James), Anita Fleming, Belinda Phillips (Earl); 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold Williams (Becky), Betty Jean Sullivan, and Bobby Mizell; step-sister, Doris Brewer (William); and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Graveside for Marvin Strickland will be Saturday, November 14, 2020 beginning at 3:00 PM at Mt. Pisgah Pentecostal Cemetery.
