Meisha Danielle Strickland

Meisha Danielle Byrd Strickland Bexley, age 53, passed away March 22, 2026. She was a CNA and correctional officer for many years with the Mississippi Department of Corrections. She enjoyed beach trips, making and wearing jewelry, and spending time with those she loved. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Strickland; parents, Aubrey and June Byrd.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Charles Bexley; daughters, Shay Danielle Strickland and Amanda (Roger) Reed; grandchildren, Raven Shields, and Heaven Beckler; great grandchildren, Elijah Shields, Ezekiel Shields, and Aiden Beckler; siblings, Aaron (Tina) McDaniel and Felecia (Robert) McNeese; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Moments Funeral Home Leakesville beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. Ben Howell officiating.
