Opal Chandler Obituary

Opal Lynn Chandler, age 60, passed away September 4, 2021 due to complications of Covid-19. Opal dedicated 20+ Years of her life to the Gulf Coast area, from Ochsner’s in New Orleans, LA to Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula MS, and then to Springhill Medical Center in Mobile AL, as a respiratory therapist. Second to Jesus and her family and friends, there is nothing she loved more than her job. In 2013 a devastating motor vehicle accident left her disabled and unable to work, but that didn’t stop her and barely slowed her down. Opal then dedicated the rest of her life to her family, specifically her grand babies, loving them unconditionally, spoiling them rotten, and being the best Nina she could possibly be.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Opal Mae Fly South, Herman Nelson South, Marietta Olsen, Everett Olsen, Lura Ellen Brown and Kelsie Trimm.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children Chad (Gina) Necaise, Doug (Ashley) Necaise, Dallas Necaise and Ashlyn Necaise (Adam Williamson); grandchildren, Chad Necaise, Jr., Garrett Necaise, Alissa Necaise, Hannah Necaise, Koda Necaise, Aubrey Necaise, Caleb Ramsey, Joshua Necaise, Addison Williamson and Andi Kate Williamson; great grandchildren, Braidyn Turek and Braylynn Necaise; mother, Lynn Trimm (Kelly Dean Trimm); dad, Richard Olsen; sisters, Carol Lucas and Susie Olsen Perry; nieces and nephew, Jenny Lucas Smith, Madeline Perry Sheppard and Christopher Lucas; numerous other relatives and friends.
