Randy L. Welford went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2020 at the young age of 38. He was a 1999 graduate of George County High School and continued his education at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on a golf scholarship where he received an Associate’s Degree. He continued on to Mississippi State University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Contracting and a minor in Business. He was the proud owner of his own landscape company, Triple H Scapes. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Lucedale. He was greatly involved in the church’s technology, served on the Board of Trustees, Men’s Bible Group and traveled on many mission trips, foreign and local. Randy was a loving husband, father, son and friend to all in this community. His selflessness will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Rose Welford; grandparents-in-law, George and Judi Bosarge; Grandfather-in-law, Charles Ruffin.
Randy will be missed especially by his wife, Jessica Welford and three daughters, Hadley Hope, Harper Grace and Henley Faith; parents, Randy D. and Belinda Welford; siblings, Allen (Ashley) Holliman and April Reed; maternal grandmother, Mary Hudson; paternal grandfather, Hollis Welford; nieces and nephews, Jesse Tomlin, Blake Philen, Brenley Philen, Kate Lamb, Hunter Lamb, Corey Holliman, Hayley Holliman, Ethan Holliman, Allyssa Holliman; Parents-in-Law, Mike and Terri Nyman and Jay and Ruby Tomlin, brother-in-law, Jason Tomlin; sister-in-law, Valarie Lamb; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Randy L. Welford will be Friday, April 3, 2020 at Moments Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 12:00 PM on Friday, April 3, 2020 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Larry White officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jason Ardoin, Steve Tipton, Jay Moseley, David Kittrell, Jeffrey Croom, Jarrod Massey, Michael Stringer, and Michael Hedegaard; Honorary Pallbearers include Hollis Welford, Paul Thompson, Lee Hedegaard, Craig Harrell, Jeff Howell, David Miller, Walt Stubblefield, and Mickey Wigham.
