Rev. W. R. Clark

Rev. W. R. Clark (Willie Ray), age 86, passed away January 22, 2020.  Rev. W.R. Clark was the pastor for Welcome Home Jesus Name Church in Ovett for many years. He also worked hard as a roofer. He greatly enjoyed music of all types. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.     

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Viola Parnell Clark; great-granddaughter, Kyra Nichols; parents, Elijah and Pearly Clark; brother, J. E. Clark; sisters, Bert, Ella Mae, Lois and Mary Lou.     

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Byron R. (Wanda) Clark of Lucedale; daughters, Dyan George of Lucedale, Judy Lambeth of Lucedale, Becky (David) Williams of Ellisville, and Dessie (Edward) Nichols of Ovett; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, June and Ruth; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.           

The Visitation for Rev. W. R. Clark will be Friday, January 24, 2020 at Moments Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Geiger Road Pentecostal Church beginning at 1:00 PM with Rev. Phillip McKissick, Rev. Mike Meadows and Rev. Colon Rowell officiating. Rev. W. R. Clark will be laid to rest next to his wife at Magnolia Cemetery. Pallbearers include Byron “Bobo” Clark, Jr., Malcom Clark, Richard Williams, Ben Sizemore, Brody Hicks and Tre Sizemore. Honorary pallbearers include Ben Sizemore, III, Joshua Clark and Seth Sizemore.
