Shannon Privett

Shannon Privett, age 52, passed away May 21, 2022. She was a 1986 graduate of McLain High School. She was a wonderful baker and enjoyed making cakes. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, Gigi, daughter, sister, aunt and dear friend who will be greatly missed.  

She is preceded in death by her father, Gordon Hillman; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Irene Strickland; paternal grandparents, George and Edna Hillman.  

Those left to cherish her memory include children, Shauna McLendon, Morgan Gargis and Ryan (Marieskay) Privett; grandchildren, Kesleigh Whigham, Bryleigh Gargis and Parker Ray Gargis; mother, Juanita Strickland Hillman; sisters, Debbie (Bill) Privett, Cindy (James) Thurston, Darlene (Kim) Cowart, Lisa (Mickey) Breland and Leanne (Troy) Hillman; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends.       

The Visitation for Shannon Privett will be Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Washington Missionary Baptist Church. The Funeral Service begin at 12:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Ray Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include Kyle Hillman, Slade Smith, Johnny Denmark, Conner McLendon, Troy Hillman, Scott Cowart, Craig Hillman and Shawn Thurston. Honorary Pallbearer will be Paul Hillman.
