Vivian A. Miller, age 96, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026.
She was a 1946 graduate of Fruitdale High School. She was a talented seamstress for many years and was well known for making clothing and uniforms for members of the community. She had a gift for making friends wherever she went and was loved by all who knew her.
The staff and residents at Washington County Nursing Home became like family to her, and they loved her dearly. She was a loving mother whose kindness and warm spirit will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carvin Miller; daughter, Carolyn Miller; parents, Wiley and Gladys Grimes; siblings, Estelle Miller and Billy Grimes; son-in-law, Robert L. Scarbrough; great grandsons, Zachary Silcox, and Timothy Kauffman.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Patricia (Robert) Scarbrough, Lisa (Don) Prine, and Carla (Gabe) Churchwell; sister, Gladys (Harold) Ritenour; 12 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 21 great-great grandchildren.
The Visitation will be Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Carl Causey and Bro. Randy Miller officiating. Ms. Miller will be laid to rest next to her husband in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include Greg Scarbrough, Todd Scarbrough, Kameron Scarbrough, Don Prine, Dusty Prine, and Carvin Dupree.
