William "Bill" Lester Barr

William “Bill” Barr, age 69, passed away December 27, 2020. He was a member of Wilmer United Methodist Church. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. The greatest joy in his life was his family.        

He is preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Saxon Barr; parents, Robert Gleason and Eva Claire Barr and a sister, Nancy Sue (Freddie) Wilkerson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 40 years, Lucy Dunn Barr; children, Mindy Barr (Gary) West and Forrest (Emily) Barr; grandchildren, Taylor, Tucker, Maddie, Trooper and Townsend West, Eva Claire and Grady Barr; brother, Robert Cecil (Ellen) Barr; numerous other relatives and friends.                     

The Graveside Service for William “Bill” Barr will be Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Wilmer Cemetery beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Michael Gaby and Rev. Charles Fail officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Wilmer United Methodist Church.
