Jeff is originally from Greene County. He is the son of Lyman “Buddy” and Jean Herndon of the Unity Community. He is a 1993 Graduate of Greene County High School. Jeff pursed drafting and design at Jones County Junior College. He also successfully completed Lineman School and worked for some time with the Power Association. Jeff spent several years surveying with a local company as well as working inside Chevron Refineries in Pascagoula, MS. Jeff currently holds a Quality Control Position at American Tank and Vessel shop in Lucedale, Mississippi. He and Joy have been married since 2003. Jeff spends a lot of his time with the couple’s son, Easton, bow hunting, fishing, playing baseball, PeeWee football and other outdoor activities.

Joy Herndon is a life-long resident of George County. She is the daughter of Blane and Ann Davis and a 1999 Graduate of George County High School. Joy received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mississippi State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. After receiving a Master’s Degree from the University of South Alabama, she pursued Funeral Service Technology at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Joy is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Mississippi and Alabama. She had the privilege of learning from some veteran professionals in the industry for several years as she worked in Jackson, Greene, Jones and Mobile counties. Joy also holds a Full Life Insurance Producer license. She recently received her Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) designation awarded by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice which signifies a commitment to raise and improve the professional standards of funeral service practice and pursue life-long learning. In addition to various community involvement organizations, Joy’s time outside of funeral service is spent with her husband, Jeff, and their son, Easton.
Tina Davis Smith has been the wife of Blaine Smith, and step-mom to his 2 sons, since 2002. She was raised in George County and is active in her community. After graduating high school she pursued her Associates degree at Jones junior college. Tina worked for the United States Air Force as a civilian on the joint Air Force base in Minneapolis, MN where she earned multiple service commendations. She has spent the last 16 years as office manager and physical therapy tech for Encore Rehabilitation serving in Lucedale & Leakesville. She is now focusing on serving this community as the office manager of Moments Funeral home.
Mike Steede is a life-long resident of George County. He graduated from George County High School, then attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College and received his BS in Ag. And Ext. Education from Mississippi State University in 1985 and MS in 1999. Mike taught high school agriculture for 15 years and then worked with Mississippi State University until his retirement in 2010. Mike and his wife Darlene have two children, Garrett of Lubbock, TX and Shelby of Waynesboro, MS. When Mike is not busy managing J&B Feeds, he enjoys spending time with his family and doing mission work.
